This 1968 Mustang came to us with an old tired stereo system that couldn’t be heard over the built V8 Engine. The owner wanted a tasteful audio system that didn’t detract form the classic look and styling. We installed Rockford Fosgate’s Punch series Speakers in the front kick panels and rear deck lid.
Steven Hand built a ported subwoofer box to house Rockford’s 10” stage 2 punch subwoofer and 5 channel amplifier. He then finished the box with a custom vinyl Embossed 68 mustang logo. The sound system played loud and clean off a retro looking stereo that included modern features such as bluetooth and USB connectivity.
We installed a bass control knob in the glove box to fine tune the subwoofer from the drivers seat. To ensure we didn’t put any scratches on this beautiful paint job, much of the fabrication was completed inside the trunk!
